The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association is now accepting nominations for the 2009 - 2010 Scholarship Program.
Each year TxAPA awards 8 scholarships to qualified students seeking their degree in Civil Engineering.
This program is solely funded by the TxAPA “Ron Flanagan Scholarship and Education Live and Silent Auction” that takes place each year at the Association Annual Meeting.
The scholarship requirements are attached, along with a recommendation form to be returned to the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association. The nomination form must be received by October 6, 2009.
We are most interested in a solid student, sophomore level or above, who has demonstrated an interest in this field through their choice of summer or part-time employment. This student should also be attending an accredited university in the State of Texas. The grade point average is not significant as long as the student is solid and consistent. We want those students who may very likely pursue the road building industry as a career in Texas after completion of their education.
